Adaptive Pacing and the Abandon-Rate Safe Harbor

How EnrollHere keeps your auto-dial abandon rate under the 3% safe harbor with adaptive pacing, and where to watch abandon-rate trends.

On Auto-Dial campaigns, adaptive pacing throttles the dial ratio as the live-person abandon rate approaches the safe-harbor ceiling. The compliance window is a rolling 30 days, and the standard ceiling is 3%.

Turn On Adaptive Pacing

On the campaign General tab, enable Keep abandon rate in check. This is available for Auto-Dial campaigns only and is greyed out for Preview Dial. Set an Abandon Rate Ceiling. As the live-person abandon rate nears the ceiling, the dialer automatically throttles the dial ratio.

💡 Tip: Keep the ceiling at or below 3% to stay inside the TCPA safe harbor.

Where to Watch It

Campaign Stats

The Abandon Rate tile shows the rate for your selected date range, with a "Last 30 days (rolling)" sub-line that is the fixed compliance window. It warns at 3% or higher. Click the tile to open Abandon Trends, with hourly and daily charts.

Auto Dial Monitor

Under Recent Metrics, the Abandon Rate reads green below 3%, amber from 3% to 5%, and red at 5% or higher. When adaptive pacing is on, an Adaptive Pacing card shows the current state (ramping, holding, dampening, or forced 1:1), the reason, the control-window abandon percentage, and the 30-day rolling rate.
