Fixing Microphone Volume Auto-Adjustment in Edge & Chrome

1. Open Edge and enter edge://flags in the address bar.

2. Use the search bar to find:

“Allow WebRTC to adjust the input volume”.

3. If available, set the flag to Disabled.
​

4. Restart Edge to apply the change.
​

5. Test your microphone in the Dialer.

“Allow WebRTC to adjust the input volume”.

3. Set the flag to Disabled.
​

4. Restart Chrome and test your microphone.
​

​Disabling this setting should prevent the browser from automatically adjusting your microphone input volume.
